S.E.K.U has been in existence since early 1982. Between them, the three instructors have almost a century of experience! Chief Instructor Sensei Mick Dewey - 7th Dan, has been teaching traditional karate for over 35 years. Sensei Mick is a former British international competitor and European gold medallist. He has taught extensively throught Great Britain and Europe including Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and Denmark. Sensei Mick has also taught and trained in both Brazil and Japan.  

The S.E.K.U squad has dominated many tournaments for the last few years, and has proudly taken Gold medals at the JKA WOrld Chamionships in Manchester earlier this year. Open Squad training sessions are held regularly for those wishing to improve their karate with a view to competing.
